The creation that I added to this post is a poster that I made to demonstrate a relationship between Constructivism and Intersectionality. I decided to choose these two topics because I felt like these subjects are the two that I feel most comfortable creating with. What I did was I used the ideas of intersectionality and I displayed them as equations. I used common ideas of being white and having money is a good thing and that being black and a woman is a bad thing. I then put a big stamp to show that this thinking is incorrect. I then put writing around this picture that talked about how people need to forget how they have been taught, and to stop putting people into boxes. I believe this touches on a connection between these two ideas because with intersectionality I am bringing multiple things together to create a new idea made up of those two identities. I then challenge this idea with the wording that I placed around the picture. I believe that relates to constructivism because many people learn these things because they are taught them through experiences. I want to challenge those experiences to help people in this case change their schemas about these two ideas. By addressing how constructivism has led to these intersectionalities, my goal is for people to construct new ways of thinking where they challenge these previous ideas about people.
